We are looking for Scrum Masters to join a team of passionate people building a new solution to support flight operations. The ideal candidate would be able to cover the list of expectations presented below, but it’s also the right, proactive, adventure-seeking attitude that we want to see.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:   

• Guides the team on how to use Agile/Scrum/SAFe practices and values
• Organizes and facilitates Agile/Scrum ceremonies like: daily scrum, sprint planning sprint retrospectives, product backlog refinement and sprint review
• Helps coordinate inter-team cooperation and helps the team operate well on the train
• Cooperates with and supports the Product Owner
• Cooperates with other scrum masters and the RTE
• Helps the team meet its goals
• Assists the team in preparation for ART activities, including PI Planning, System Demos
• Encourages continual improvement in engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery
• Maintains relevant metrics to help the team monitor their performance and support the team in reaching their sprint goals, e.g., overseeing the end-to-end delivery of product features
• Takes responsibility for managing dependencies between the Scrum team and others, collaborates within a local Scrum Master group especially with regards to items necessary for product release
• Proactively removes or escalates roadblocks to allow team progress
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and responsiveness to complete work and solve problems, with a strong drive to persevere when faced with ambiguity
• Builds a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving
• Facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution within the team and other depended entities

Knowledge and Skills: 

• Excellent knowledge of Agile methodology in software development
• Team-oriented individual, positive attitude, energetic, result & delivery oriented
• Self-motivation and the ability to work under minimal supervision are required
• Able to resolve conflicts, facilitate discussions, propose viable alternatives, and consider different approaches
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Is fully supportive of the “build quality in” aspect of their team’s work
• Is able to build strong, effective relationships with team members and the other agile roles in the program.
• Can demonstrate the ability to assist self-organising and self-managing teams to achieve their goals.
