Government program analysts are responsible for analyzing source documents and making changes to DoD electronic assets for changes dictated by the source document in accordance with asset/product specifications. Assets include enroute charts as well as terminal procedures.
Essential Duties: 
  • Compiles, analyzes, formats, and updates data gathered from various source documents, using established processes and computational tools to create and/or maintain assets
  • Reviews the work of others and confirms that specifications and source data changes have been correctly applied.
  • Ensures asset's conformance to regulatory and contractual compliance.
  • Ensures designated corrections noted against the asset are correctly made.
  • Requests clarification of source and specification issues as needed.
  • Detects and resolves moderately complex problems following established procedures and practices.


Two year degree in a related field of study and typically 1 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Has substantial and thorough understanding of the job.
  • Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity by following established practices and procedures.
  • Receives general supervision with basic instructions for routine work and detailed instructions for new lines of work or special assignments. 
  • Performs routine or standardized work, choosing from a variety of well-established options. 
  • Work is reviewed for soundness and overall adequacy and accuracy.
  • Errors may cause moderate loss of time or customer/user dissatisfaction.
