Internship – Quality Assurance Analyst

AeroInfo- Boeing Vancouver

Summary:

 

8 month duration

 

The Quality Assurance Analyst Co-op is a key member of our busy software quality team at AeroInfo This role is primarily responsible for assisting with management of quality records, metrics collection, and providing assistance on daily quality team activities to include process and product assessments, root cause analysis and problem solving workshops, quality related training, and participating in external and industry quality activities.  This role works closely with the Software Quality Team leads to provide support to various portfolios of technical and software development projects.

The QA Co-op will work closely with the SQA team to generate weekly compliance reports, communicate risks, issues and opportunities to the Quality Manager, and be empowered to take action on improvement plans.

Overall, this role is focused on supporting the DA SQA assessment activities and organizational metrics data collection, analysis and reporting process.  The QA Co-op will also be responsible for complying with AeroInfo policies, procedures and training requirements.

 

Essential Functions:

• Assist and support in the execution of SQA team activities; these will include:

o Process and Product quality assessment activities

o Reviewing and analyzing internal review findings

o Recommending CAPAs (corrective and preventive actions)

o Executing self-assessment interviews

o Updating Records Information Management deliverables

o Documentation and maintenance of QA policies, procedures and data.

o Quality metrics collection, analysis and reporting

o Preparation of Monthly / Quarterly dashboards

o Review and report action item status, as requested

Education/Experience:

 

• Currently enrolled in Undergraduate Degree in Business Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or Equivalent.

• 0-2 years related experience or relevant Projects during curriculum study period.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

 

• Working knowledge of the Software Development Life-Cycle and software engineering best practices.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Advanced Microsoft office skills – Particularly Excel.

• Suitable analytical skills to quantify data and create Operational dashboard for Quality Manager, Leadership and Quality teams to use.
